I've learned a lot in the past 5 years. I've finally come to the conclusion that stressing out about things that I can't change is pointless, so I'm much more relaxed and enjoying life more.

I've also learned that I don't have to be in a relationship to be happy. If it happens...great! But if it doesn't, then I'm still fine.

I'm 22, and figuring out my life. I have many, many good things going for me, and the one thing I could always use more of is caring, compassionate, kick-me-in-the-ass-if-i-need-it friends. I also love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, biking, camping, canoeing and kayaking - I just don't do any of these things very often.

Although I like to be active myself, I'm not big into watching sports and I have no interest in college sports. I also don't like the idea of going to Vegas and drinking all weekend long, I don't wear white socks with jeans and I have no desire to ever step foot in a strip club. A frat boy I am not.

I have pretty high standards - I'll take quality over quantity on pretty much anything. I also pay a lot of attention to what I eat - I buy all natural and organic as much as possible as I don't like the idea of my food containing a bunch of artifical crap and other chemicals. I love eating out at independent restaurants, going out for coffee, ice-cream, brunch, checking out a new bar, wine tasting - all that good stuff.

My philosophy on life is that people should focus on what makes them happy. Life is short and you only get one shot at it (as far as I'm aware).

I dislike bad lighting, most chain restaurants, fast food, strip malls, Walmart, narrow-mindedness, stupidity, right-wing facists and lying. I also have a mild fear of dogs.

If I won the lottery, I'd pay off all my credit cards, buy a ton of clothes at Marios, buy a Porsche 911, stock a wine cellar in my house and travel the world (ideally with a cute girl). What about you?...

I'm a pretty easy girl to get along with. I'm not afraid to get dirty and I actually like getting dirty. In most cases at least. I love the out doors. Here goes. I was born and raised here in PDX. After college moved out to Los Angeles and worked for The Young and The Restless soap-opera. I realized I missed change of seasons and moved back!

I have strong family values. Family and friends are number 1 in my book. I enjoy the outdoors. I am picking up music again after a long break... assaulting the ears with my SG electric guitar and a nice spalted maple acoustic guitar that my kids bought me for my birthday. Don't worry I wear headphones when people are around and have yet to stampede the horses when it is only me.

Speaking of horses, although I have some I am not much of a horseman... I like to look out the window to see what they are up to more than ride them. Barn cats round out the menagerie.

I like the country setting of where I live, but it is close to "civilization" for the social parts of life and the hard-to-avoid shopping trips.

Being outdoors is huge for me: Hiking, Biking, listening to good music, and I do a little "birding" when I get the chance. I want to do more traveling. I have lived other places, but always seem to come back to the Great NW for its coast, mountains, lakes & gorges. An evening fixing supper or going out, a good glass of wine (or a decent beer with the right food!), and relaxing with a movie or some music with the right person - (you?).

For an update: I just lost two friends since the beginning of this new year, so I'm not on here a whole lot. I hope that you can be patient for a response and not to give up hope.

Im a non party person. I dont do drugs of any kind, don't smoke, rarely drinks, I know sounds boring but if you cared enough, it wouldn't bother you. I want children someday so it has to be a must that you care enough about children to be a friend. I am a real caring, loving person until you piss me off then I'm a bitch! Yes I'm a flirt, but I keep it calm cause I don't like to get caught in a triangle of drama. Dont want to get involved with anyone who does any kind of drugs including stoners.

This still fits me. The shoe is rather uncomfortable the rest the way through so I'll monkey with some of it.

I am a single father of three great kids, 2 boys, 1 girl. Also have a 10 yr old granddaughter and a 5 mo old grandson who are important in my life. Relationships require dedication and total committment to be lasting and successful and my goal is to arrive at that special time with the right person that will last the rest of my life. I am goal-oriented and believe that life is a never ending journey that has no ending destination. Jesus Christ is first in my life and everything else comes after Him. I desire to spend my life making a difference in other people's lives.

Im an easy going guy with a pretty even temperament. I like to joke around and be with people who can laugh at themselves and who don't take themselves too seriously. I'm certainly not the most politically correct person and I don't always say the right thing. Im far from perfect, but I'm always trying to find ways to improve myself. I enjoy running and exercising, or at least how I feel when I'm done. Basketball has always been a passion of mine. I'm also a big Blazer fan. I don't drink and I don't smoke, never have and probably never will. I don't mind being around people who do those things, it's just a choice I made for myself a long time ago. I also have two wonderful little kids.

As far as what Im looking for...
I would like to meet someone who is confident, secure, intelligent, positive, enthusiastic, and genuin. Someone who's passion for the things they love inspires me to take interest in them also. I also like a girl who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. A healthy attitude, mind, and body is important to me. Im open for anything from making a good friend to hang out with, to dating, to a potentially long term relationship. Im trying to keep an open mind about anything and everything.

I'm pretty low key, low drama with minimal baggage. Yes, there is some, but I'm continually working on self improvement... I tend to be self aware and happy most of the time. To me, life is about learning new things and being in the present.

I tend to be shy and have been told I'm hard to get to know. I'm working on that. I'm not afraid to have a bit of silence in the conversation. I do not talk just to fill the space... (unless I'm REALLY nervous).

My three biggest values are integrity and open-mindedness and compassion. I place a high value on honest communication. You won't have to guess what I'm thinking-just ask.

I've mellowed in my old age and am trying to stop and smell the roses somewhat. So now I embrace all types of people, but especially tattooed chics on bikes, and pirate wenches (I'm kidding, of course.) I like to read, watch movies, work out, and do some free-lance writing when I have the time. I also play "old boy" rugby now and then. I used to be involved in the Irish community a lot, but not as much anymore. One can only organize so many St. Pat's parades, Bloomsdays, Famine Memorials, and Presidential visits.

I like someone who is intelligent, inquisitive, and well-read. If you tell me, "I have went to college and got a degree," that pretty much tells me you did not.

I love life, im a passinate person about life when it comes to family work and relationships. I also am a very down to earth person can be a smartass at times for shits and giggles lol hope to hear from you soon :)

Im a really nice guy who knows how to treat and handle a girl, like ive said im very passionate, i live taking risks, and taking it to the limit. Im a drama free guy, i dont like yelling or fighting for dumb reason, only if something is importnant to me. I like people around who are always in a good mood, not sad people. Im just looking for someone who can please me or be more than that, im also looking for someone i take out and have a romantic dinner and romantic nights.

Hmm.. where do I begin? To start off with I was born and raised in Montana and moved out to Portland eleven years ago. So I guess I would consider myself an oregonian now with montana roots. I love the things most people do and you are probably here for the same thing. I'm tired of the game-playing and people who don't know what they want, insecure with themselves, and people who don't follow through. So given my nature, I love to give...give...give. But in return I expect a lot. Don't get this confused with being high maintance, I am not. I believe relationships are about give and take. So if you don't know what compromise is...or have horrible communication skills, I am probably not your match. I am looking for a man to walk through life with. I would like to start off by being friends first and building a foundation and see if something else develops. I like somebody who can embrace my fun, outgoing side. Somebody, who won't mind going out once in awhile with friends or just hanging out together at home cooking and watching movies together.
